who We Are
What started with a piece of land became something much more.
David and Kim Hall saw Mission Tree as an opportunity to create a place where faith could be lived out in practical ways. A place where people could gather, work, eat, pray, learn, and enjoy the land together.
Over time, Mission Tree became a setting for family gatherings, hosted events, time outdoors, personal reflection, and experiences built around stewardship and hospitality.
The property continues to grow and change, but the purpose remains the same: to use what God has provided in a way that welcomes and serves others.
The Mission BehinD mission tree
Mission Tree is a quiet refuge located in Blanco, Texas, nestled in the Texas Hill Country. Established in 2020 by David and Kim Hall, it was created as a place of Sabbath—a place to step away from the demands of daily life and remember that it is God who holds all things together.
The word Sabbath comes from the Hebrew shabbat, meaning “to cease.” It’s more than just rest—it’s an invitation to stop striving, to trust that God is at work even when we pause.
At Mission Tree, Sabbath looks different for everyone. For some, it’s watching the sunset or sitting in quiet prayer. For others, it’s working with their hands, tending the land, planting, and building—kind of labor that tends to the soul as much as the earth.
Whether your work is physical, relational, intellectual, or centered on caring for others, Mission Tree offers a space to find peace in the quiet of nature. It’s a place to be still and remember that rest isn’t just about slowing down—it’s an invitation to reconnect with your Creator.
everyone is welcome at mission tree
Mission Tree is a place for anyone seeking time away from the usual pace of life. Come on your own, bring your family, gather with friends, or join one of the experiences hosted on the property.
There is no single way to spend your time here. You might walk the land, share a meal, sign up for range or ridge, sit in prayer, or simply enjoy the beauty of the Hill Country.
Whatever brings you to Mission Tree, our hope is that you feel welcomed, cared for, and reminded of God’s goodness in the people, places, and moments around you.
